What is Kashima Kami JR?
KASHIMA KAMI JUNIOR cards are designed by Margrét og Valdís, the daughters of the family. The designs are theirs and we do not alter them, we only scan them for printing.
Occasionally Dröfn and Margrét collaborate on a design if Margrét wishes to change the colors of a drawing.
This is the first card Margrét design in January of 2022. It is still Kashima Kami's best selling card.
This is a picture of the original drawing by Margrét. You can see the letters in the flags are not the same. Because the lettering didn't show well on the picture we decided she would write all the letters down, then we would scan them and add them digitally.
So here you see a picture of all her letters that we scanned and added to the original drawing once we scanned it. So even if the letters on the drawing did not make it to the printed cards it is her writing.
We have learned so much together through this process and it is a wonderful way to spend time together doing something we all love.
