Our Birthday Cards with numbers indicating the Age of the Birthday kid ... or grown up are designed in collaboration between Margrét and Dröfn.
Margrét herself is almost 10 year old and we love beautiful Birthday Cards.
What we did was that she wrote down all the numbers on a piece of paper.
What we did next was to import them into Illustrator and work with them there. We used image trace to make a stroke from the image, the we used the Width tool to make them bolder so that the numbers would fit inside each number. Then we multiplied smaller copies of the number og lined them up randomly inside the larger number. Then we played around with the colors until we were happy with them.

If you have a kid in kindergarten or elementary school, then class birthday parties is probably one of the things you have to prepare cards for regularly. I most often forget until the last possible minute and then I have to race to find one, or more.
So our advice is to order a bundle, get a mix of cards with your kid's age, in different colors. That way you wont get surprised and need to race around town to get a card. When you buy in bulk you also get a discount.
A win win if there ever was one.
