Abstract Table Cloths

In November 2021, I attended an online seminar organised by the Icelandic Quilt Association. The instructor, David Owen Hastings, was fantastic, and I highly recommend following him on Instagram.

The concept was to use photos of houses, but instead of creating a quilt of the whole house, we were encouraged to focus on interesting details and use those to inspire the design.

I loved this technique and, over the following weeks, made several tablecloths using pictures of houses from Hrísey, the island where I grew up.
